With thirty years of activity, it ranges from the design of office buildings, retail and hospitality facilities to the planning of residential complexes, urban regeneration projects and masterplan.
Human Technopole: Detailed Design for the SouthBuilding Approved
The South Building of the Human Technopole Foundation, located within MIND – Milano Innovation District, is taking a decisive step toward completion. The approval of the detailed design by the third-party verification body and the contracting authority allows the bidding process for the construction work to move into the operational phase.
For Piuarch, which designed the architectural project and leads the temporary joint venture of professionals, this approval marks a key milestone in an intensive process that began with winning the international competition. The project’s development involved contributions from Seingim, 3TI Progetti, J+S, Ciquattrouno, Medical Design & Technology, Habitech, Studio Laura Gatti, and Deerns: a collaborative effort that integrated architectural, engineering, and specialized expertise around a shared vision for research spaces.
The new building will complete the Campus and house Human Technopole’s permanent laboratories for research into the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiometabolic, oncological, and neurodegenerative diseases. It will also enable the expansion of the National Platforms, which make advanced technologies and specialized expertise available to researchers throughout Italy.
The South Building is conceived as an adaptable, forward-looking system: the building is, in fact, capable of providing the required flexibility. The circulation layout has also been carefully designed to facilitate the placement and movement of scientific equipment, while the systems have been engineered to ensure the operational continuity of core activities even in the event of an emergency or an interruption in primary services.
Central to the project is the architecture’s ability to foster interactions and relationships. The layout of the spaces translates this diversity of functions into opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and exchange, combining the technical requirements of research with the quality of the spaces and the collaborative nature of scientific work. A project designed to support the Human Technopole community, which is dedicated to improving people’s health.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027, with completion planned for 2030./

Opening of Leone Factory
On Tuesday, September 22, the expansion of the Leone Factory in Collegno (TO), designed by Piuarch, was inaugurated.
The project introduces a new area dedicated to chocolate production and incorporates a visitor route that winds through the factory, transforming the manufacturing process into an immersive experience accessible to visitors.
The large glass surfaces, the system of courtyards, and the visual continuity between the different spaces transform the factory into an open organism, where production activities, visitors, and the landscape are in constant dialogue.
The main façade redefines the image of the entire production complex, connecting the new expansion to the existing buildings through a unified architectural façade that serves as the company’s new flagship and a new landmark in the area.
