Founded in Milan in 1996 by Francesco Fresa, Germán Fuenmayor, Gino Garbellini and Monica Tricario, Piuarch is an architecture and urban planning firm ranging from the design of office buildings, retail and hospitality structures to the planning of housing complexes, urban renewal and regeneration projects.
Piuarch offers a concept of contemporary architecture strongly rooted in its surroundings, respectful of the planet's resources today and in the future. The primary focus is the design of quality urban settings and common spaces that, through new usage and common functional concepts, are intended to be venues for urban renewal.
Architecture and urban planning firm that today has more than 40 collaborators. It is a collective of international talent in which different backgrounds, identities and skills merge; a cohesive, passionate yet multi-dimensional team whose creativity is nurtured through the continuous exchange among a plurality of voices that represent the true driving force of the firm.
Piuarch is located in the Brera district of Milan, in an old warehouse inside a courtyard. As architects we are committed to people-centric research and design and this starts right in our studio: open, airy areas with large tables that allow us to work together and spaces dedicated to socializing such as the communal kitchen and rooftop vegetable garden. The continuous flow between the floors encourages sharing the space and the widest participation of team members in all the project’s phases.
