Milan-based architecture firm
Founded in Milan in 1996 by Francesco Fresa, Germán Fuenmayor, Gino Garbellini and Monica Tricario, Piuarch fosters a diverse and cohesive team of 50 people, a collective of professionals in which different backgrounds, identities and skills merge to create innovative architectural solutions.
Piuarch offers a concept of contemporary architecture strongly rooted in its surroundings, respectful of the planet's resources today and in the future.
Ranging from the design of office buildings, retail and hospitality structures to the planning of housing complexes and urban renewal and regeneration projects, every intervention is based on an analysis of the urban, socio-historical and cultural surroundings and designed to relate to and be in harmony with them. It is an approach that also addresses certain fundamental aspects: comfort and constructiveness, well-being and sustainability.
Who we are
We are a collective of international talent, a cohesive, passionate yet multi-dimensional team whose creativity is nurtured through the continuous exchange among a plurality of voices that represent the true driving force of the firm.
The Studio
Our studio is located in the Brera district of Milan, in an old warehouse inside a courtyard. As architects we are committed to people-centric research and design and this starts right in our studio: open, airy areas with large tables that allow us to work together and spaces dedicated to socializing such as the communal kitchen and rooftop vegetable garden. The continuous flow between the floors encourages sharing the space and the widest participation of team members in all the project’s phases.
