Piuarch is a group made up of people with different backgrounds and different identities, who live in the awareness of these differences and consider them as a source of wealth for comparison, dialogue and the exchanging of ideas. It is this heterogeneity that defines a harmonious whole, a kind of “orchestra,” where recognition of the group is stronger than personalization and the passion for architecture becomes the driving force. Piuarch takes its origin from this plurality of voices and, along with expressing the idea that the team is stronger than the individual player, it suggests the desire to work on a design with a strong relationship to the context, without an iconic status and always careful to guarantee environmental quality.
Each Piuarch project moves in the direction of architecture’s most exciting challenge: to improve the conditions of living together. And this can happen by providing users with structures having characteristics that encourage social interactions and stimulate well-being: natural lighting, acoustic comfort control, the introducing of relaxation, meeting or children’s play areas, the providing of both inside and outside protected areas, the rational organization of passageways, and the correct dimensioning of the rooms, systems and services are all elements that, as a whole, promote environmental quality. This value is then increased with energy saving and attention to the consumption of resources.
