The building designed by Ponti, Portaluppi e Fornaroli in Milan in 1956 was subject of a competition to which Piuarch has been invited to partecipate in conjunction with other 7 international firms.
Starting from the idea of arranging the existing volumes in a different way, the project consists of a tower with the same height of the adjacent building designed by Moretti in the same period. The wide curtain wall overlooks the new underground station and it defines the main entrance. The helicoidal stair overlooks the green courtyard and connects all the functions and floors of the building.
